Admissions is a relatively easy process. Once all components of your application has been received and processed, we will contact you to set up an interview appointment. At least one parent and the student are required to attend a formal interview with CATA staff. At the interview students are required to demonstrate how they meet the mission of CATA. Examples of this include showing their art work, performing a monologue, showing an original film, or playing a piece on the piano. Students are also required to spend a day at CATA, following one of our currently enrolled students. This “Shadow Day” provides the student with the opportunity to experience our school first hand before coming to a final decision about his/her enrollment. Students often schedule their interview on the same day as they shadow.Students and parents are also required to attend an Information Session before the student can be eligible for our enrollment lottery. Priority deadline for application to Semester II of the school year is January 7 of the same year by 12:00 pm, after this date admissions is rolling.
