Cocheco Academy of The Arts * 40 Hampshire Circle, Dover, NH 03820 * (603) 742-0700

CATA's graduation was held on June 2, 2017 at Henry Law Park in downtown Dover, New Hampshire. The weather held off as CATA celebrated the graduation of 21 seniors. Seniors were led into the ceremony by CATA freshman Angus Fisher, who was playing bagpipes. The audience was inspired by the guest speaker, Ian Kaplan, a CATA graduate, as well as several members of the graduating class whose speeches were entertaining and at times emotional. CATA's combined choir performed their rendition of I'll Be There. The graduating class exited the stage to CATA's Jazz/Rock Band's rendition of Simple Mind's Don't You Forget About Me/Billy Joel's I'm Moving Out.

Annual Fund Drive

We made it!! One of our parents donated $500 to get us across the Annual Fund finish line! Now the fun begins! The next $5,000 we receive will be matched DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR until JUNE 30! Don't wait! There's no better time to support CATA and our mission.

Rock for the Arts

The inaugural Rock for the Arts held June 9th at the Dover Brickhouse was a huge success. Student MC's Alison Frizella and Theo Wright kept the evening moving and entertaining. Attendees were treated to great musical performances by CATA's Jazz/Rock Band, Citronella, a CATA student band, Marvel Prone, a band containing two CATA alumni, Red Tail Hawk, a local band containing CATA's instrumental music instructor Eric Turner and area band People Like You. Students of Mr. Keith's Comedic Writing Workshop performed between musical acts. The event added almost $2800 to the Annual Fund bringing us close to the $35,000 target. Pictures from the event can be found under the Mission Galleries tab. A huge thank you to the Dover Brickhouse for the space, all of the performers who donated their time and talent, and all who attended to support our school.
