Meet our Team
Meghan grew up in the Seacoast country lands of New Hampshire. She lived on a farm where her parents grew vegetables, raised chickens, and tapped their maple trees. As a child Meghan loved playing with her brother and sister in the fields and woods pretending to be animals both real and imagined, or characters from their wild imaginations.
This upbringing played a crucial role in her interests in the handmade, domesticity, nature, and family dynamics. She has always been an artist, and cannot remember a time when she did not make things with her hands.
Meghan received her BFA in clay and sculpture from the University of New Hampshire in 2005 and in 2015 she received her MFA from Boston University. She has been awarded many academic scholarships including the Boston University Women's Council Graduate Scholarship and the Constantin Alajalov Scholarship. Meghan has also worked as a clay studio assistant at the Odyssey Center for Ceramic Arts and has attended many residency and workshop programs including Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts, College of the Atlantic, and the Anderson Ranch Arts Center.
She is currently an adjunct lecturer of ceramics at Boston University, and teaches out of her studio MudCity Clay in Gonic New Hampshire. She has been teaching art to all ages for over fifteen years. Her permanent collections include several private and public including the Hotel Commonwealth in Boston. Meghan currently makes work at her ceramics studio MudCity Clay and she lives in the woods of Barrington with her wonderful husband and small son, and their dog Rita.
